ReginaSpices' Internationally inspired spice blends, Tuscan

Tuscan: Three simple ingredients in PERFECT harmony!

The question with Tuscan is not where to use it; it’s where NOT to use it. It really punches up the flavor of just about everything: from pasta, to pizza, to roasted chicken, to chops, to meatballs, to zucchini and summer squash!

Because this is a salt-free spice blend; it’s a great way to add lots of flavor (at the table and in cooking) without increasing the sodium!!

Tuscan: Three simple ingredients in PERFECT harmony!

I first made a version of this Tuscan blend for Portland Spice Co. Our favorite customer couple (the giggle twins) spent some time in Florence and returned with this spicy-flavorful, AMAZING blend—I immediately copied it! It was an instant best-seller at Portland Spice.

I’ve made one change to Tuscan, and it’s a major one. I switched the chili from a standard chili pepper flake to Calabrian Pepperoncini. It may not be quite as hot but it is super rich with nice deep tones and just a touch of acidity.
